Enough with the threats about not updating my blog already...a girl is trying to have a life you know.

Nothing too major to blog about, just a bunch of random tidbits. (That word makes me laugh in a 7th grade awkward boy kind of way)

Travel
I hate business travel...four flights in one day, four hours with the client, a mysteriously lost rental car reservation, and no chocolate pretty much sum it up. This brings me to my next random thought...

Southwest
Why the hell are you too good to just give out seat assignments like every other airline out there? Now you have a new system where you get a letter AND a number. If you think I am going to line up in order, jokes on you. 5th grade called and wants your damn numbers back. How about you give me a letter and a number that is my seat assignment, not my line assignment.

Ellen
Ellen, I am on my way to Vegas to see the show you are hosting as part of the comedy festival. (you all can watch it on TV) Things have been pretty hard for you lately. I am glad we moved past the dog incident. I too love animals, but image how great things would be if you were visibly that upset every time a soldier died at war, or someone else was diagnosed with HIV. I'm just saying that when the most traumatic event in your life is over a dog that still went to a good home, you live a fairly sheltered life. Now people are all over you about the strike. I get that you don't want the entire crew to loose their jobs, but I have to be honest; your show is not as funny without your writers. Just take some time to relax until this all gets worked out.

Writers Strike
I understand and fully support why the writers are on strike, but are they even talking to each other and trying to work out a deal? Come on people....a socially dysfunctional girl needs her TV. What is going to happen with Meredeth and McDreamy? Will Landry go to jail? Will House find a new team? Will we ever find out what Darma is? Will Kitty get pregnant again? I need closer here. Grow up, play fair, and get back to work.

Sleep
It has not really been happening for me lately....way to much on my ticker tape. I feel like Jessie Spano from Saved By The Bell when she is taking pills to get everything done.... "I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so...scared." Yesterday I went to San Diego and back and when I got home around 9:30 I changed my sheets, changed the duvet cover, cleaned my bathroom, made almond roca, cleaned the kitchen, and worked for a good two hours. I just can't go to sleep. This morning I felt like my bottom eyelids were literally going to take over my top eyelids when a co-worked hooked me up. I like to call it "eye caffeine" when really it was just fancy hemorrhoid cream in a little tube, but man did it work wonders. About 2 minutes after application, I could see again.

Spokane
Last weekend I went to Spokane for business and stayed the weekend with my folks. Nothing too exciting except I scanned in a million photos of me growing up and old family photos. You can expect quite a few more posts to come from this once I get them all organized. The highlight of the trip had to be on Saturday when my father took on a lighting project. He decided to change ALL of the light bulbs in our house to more energy efficient bulbs that supposedly will last for 11 year. It required a few trips to the store and a realization the our 4 story house has a freaking tone of lights. My dad worked on this all day and was very pleased with himself knowing he was "going green" and done changing lights for a good couple of years. Sunday after church my mom and I are in the kitchen when we hear my dad yelling about something...ahhh yes, he went to turn the light on in the bathroom and one of them was burnt out. We could not stop laughing.
