Ellen and I are Friends

What a day. I drove down to Las Vegas with a friend and made it in great time minus the 15 minutes we lost when I was pulled over for going 92 in a 75...oops. We are staying at Caesars Palace and get an upgraded room because the first room they gave us stunk like a skunk.

Well, Ellen had her really big show tonight and I love it! We waited in line when I noticed one of her segment producers walking around. I was watching her and made eye contact a few times. She came over and asked if we were Ellen fans. We all said yes and when she asked who the biggest fan was, everyone pointed to me. She asked me to come with her and before I new it, I was signing release forms and being asked random questions. There were about 8 of us they had pulled aside. They would come out, ask more random questions, take more pictures of us, and then leave for a bit. It was about 2 minutes before the show was to start when they sent us to our seats, but made sure they knew where we were sitting. They said Ellen may or may not come up to us and ask us a question or have us be part of a game. I was pumped.

The show started and away we went. Ellen never came up to me, but it actually was a good thing. She went to 3 of the girls and gave them money to go play 21 with. They missed the entire show and really did not interact with her much. The show was being filmed for TV so there was quite a bit of down time in between each set. During one of these times, it got really quite so I yelled out "Ellen, dance with me," (we were about 30 feed from the stage) to which she said, "Ok." Yes, Ellen heard and answered me. It was awesome! I like to think of us as friends now. She never did come up to me to dance, but I am sure it will happen one day.

I was disappointed she did not do more stand up comedy, but all in all it was a great night. Great show, great company, and great food after! Can't wait to see what adventure happens tomorrow. There are famous people all over this hotel and I will find them!
