Well, it was another rough week at work. The topper to my week was Wednesday. I was all dressed up in my heals and skirt because I was going to the temple after work to try and figure out what to do with my life. I wanted to buy a new temple dress so at lunch I made a quick run to the store, found one, and decided to stop at Noodles and Company for some food before my 1:30 meeting. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:30, waited in line and ordered my food to go. I would have expected this endeavor to only take about 15 minutes, but no...I did not even get my food until 1:30. I called into my meeting and drove back to work. (This is where it gets good.)
I parked in the back and very carefully started down the grassy hill. Keep in mind that I was in heals, on the phone, caring my huge purse, a diet coke, and my lunch. I almost made it down, but as I went to look up at the construction workers down the way I lost my footing and fell down. I had one of those surreal moments where it feels like life is not really happening. I was glad to see I had saved my diet coke, but horrified at having to get up knowing the construction guys all saw me bight the big one.
I picked myself up, looked down, and hobbled into work trying to avoid letting anyone see me. I made it to my cube and realized there was blood dripping down my leg. So, here I am at work, in a skirt with a bloody knee. It looked like I was in 5th grade again and fell off the monkey bars. It was at this moment when I decided life really is like a blood knee. It stings, takes a long time to heal, and can easily get infected. Needless to say....it was not my day.
I made it to the temple and was sure glad I did. Great things have been happening since and I am starting to get a better feel for what I am going to do with my life.
Luckily the week ended better then it started. I went to Mama Mia on Friday and loved it, not now I can't decide if I want to be a famous musician or be a Broadway star?

Wow, you always have the best stories. I think you future should involve Seattle :)
Sorry to hear about your bloody knee, but the good news is that at least when it's all said and done, you have some pretty awesome scars to talk about later on...and you DID save your Diet Coke.
And I think your future should be filled with the hotness of Phoenix. We have many construction men here as well, and not too many hills, so you'll be in good shape ;-)
I was just going to look up Mamma Mia online tonight, I want Brian to take me! Glad to hear it got great LJL reviews!
