Remember how I love the George Amphitheater and Kings of Leon, but sadly the two did not mix well. The sound was so horrible and one point the entire audience was chanting, "Turn it up." On top of the bad sound about 90% of the songs were from their new album yet to be released which means no one knew them what means the audience was not very into the show.
Contrast that with Gregory Alan Isakov in Bellingham. The venue was a quaint twinkle light lit backyard. Lights, summer weather, 50 people in a backyard and GAI makes for one magical night. I wish we could do that again.
