Believe it or not, I was a cheerleader...for 2 years. Keep in mind we were not very serious, but there was a lot of drama, even more boys, and plenty of good times. I know it sounds a little cheesy, but I really do miss football games at Albi stadium. It was one of the things I actually liked in High School.

This is the squad my Junior (and favorite) year. These girls and I went through a lot, but we all made it out alive.

Out of the millions of cheerleading pictures I have this is by far my favorite because I really feel like it captures the experience. We were just finishing up a halftime something or other. You can see me helling whoooo (which you are not suppose to yell) and about 2 seconds later was walking away, ready to get off the field. It was always freezing cold and as you can clearly see....we really were not good.

This picture kindly reminds me of the boy I was in love with, but would not like me back because of my religious beliefs. Apparently to some people, being Mormon means you are going to hell. If this really is the case, I am sure I will see you there buddy. My favorite part of this story is this guy (who really is a very nice person) received and excepted a football scholarship at Weber State in Utah. :)

What nice memories and such nice pictures. Good times. The young-lifers still think we're going to hell! I guess it will suck to be them when they are judged according to how they judge!
That guy is your real-life Matt Saracen! Although Matt Saracen would never tell you that you were going to hell.
Guess what!? I, too, was in love with that guy, but was dating his best-friend. I guess that makes me the slut (although I wasn't a cheerleader) that cheated on the cripple-boy (which my boyfriend kinda was, just not in the wheel-chair kinda way) with his BF in Friday Night Lights (although I certainly did not actually cheat like that little floozie, I only wanted to). Yes, I was hooked on it while Brian was in school but haven't tuned in this season yet because I know I will be mocked more by my husband about that than my old obsession with the show "The Biggest Loser." Those folks always make me cry when they get voted off and you get to see their "transformations" afterwards...
I would have to agree with you that football games at Albi really were the only thing to look forward to in highschool, especially the car-dancing and other random things we did pre- and post-game. And pretty much after you graduated Lindsay, football games just weren't the same...
