Costco

I don't know why, but I have always loved Costco. I remember the days before they had scanners and two people would ring you up. One person would say the bar code number and the other person would repeat the number as they typed it in. I use to make my little brother play Costco with me at home....I know...I'm a nerd.

One of the things I like about Costco (besides the fact you can by everything there larger and in more quantity then necessary) is the eclectic audience it draws. Today, I decided to make it even more exciting by going to the new Costco in West Valley City.

I went and was pleasantly happy because the place was fairly empty which is unheard of at Costco. I got the items on my list...and a few books...and the Office season 3...and a few other random things and was on my way out, but I was feeling all kinds of disappointment. Sure, there were a few crazies, but nothing I could not have seen at the Bountiful Costco. Then it happened.

I was checking out and this "person" walked past. It was a man who had to be in his mid 60's wearing a long blond wig, dress, high heals, and a purse. He did have a bit of a 5 o'clock shadow and hairy legs, but he walks better in heals then I do. I tried not to stare, but could not help making a few jokes to myself on the way out as he waited in line for a hot dog.

Thanks West Valley Costco for coming through in the end. I can't wait to see what you have in mind next!

I like Costco as well. Just the other day I was bored so I spent an hour there just walking around. See how fun my life is? :)
