See You Later

You have been a big part of who I am and what I look like for so long, but tonight I say my final goodbye. You have helped make my life more clear and memorable. We have been through a lot together. You are the only thing that has been with me everyday for the past 8 years, but tomorrow we are over and I am on my own again. People say I look so different without you and many people have commented on how well you look, but I miss knowing what time it is when I first wake up. I want to lie down when I watch a movie; I want to not squint when I drive; I want to watch TV at the gym.

Don't think this is a final goodbye. I have been assured that you and I will meet up again when I am in my 40's and want to read the morning paper, but for now goodbye.

Nice Work LJL! Enjoy your new eyeballs. My lasik worked for almost 15 years before the glasses returned on a part-time basis. The birds will sing clearer and the lights will be glorious and gay!
