Ode to Cheta

I just checked my family blog and found this sad post from my dad:

I've been feeling real tired lately so dad took me to the Vet today and bought me a one-way ticket to the big cat house in the sky. See you guys later. Love, Cheta

I am so sad. I loved Cheta. I remember when my mom brought her home from Albertsons. She has had quite the life. Her name when from Hanna Beth, to Hanna Beth Chea Pet, to just Cheta. I remember when she had babies behind Natalie’s bed. She liked to sleep by my feet and always gave me a good morning purr on my way to early morning seminary. I like to think she liked me best, but really I think she liked my bed the best. She loved to make a nest in my hair and sleep there until I moved. She loved to dip her paws in the water if you let it run while you brushed your teeth. I told her everything in High School. She was the only one I trusted and confided in because she always loved me no matter what. While I was home with the flu over Thanksgiving, she never left my side.

I love her and will miss her.

I know how you feel. Saying goodbye to a pet is no fun!

Maybe you should have used a pet stroller...then your cat would be alive.
