My Weekend

Pretty much had the greatest weekend ever. Dinner and a movie with some great girls, breakfast with my brother followed by a little shopping, dinner and a dance party with more great girls and 2 days at the beach. Oh ya and church. :)

I heart Seattle.

Toe

I get a pedicure every 3 weeks from the same girl and every time she laughs at my crooked toe. It seems to be getting worse with all the running I've been doing, but what's a benefitless girl to do. This week Lee was already working on someone, but don't you worry. The new girl commented on it and joked that she would just paint my french tip crooked so it would still line up with the other toes.

Good thing I have such a healthy self esteem.

SF Wrap Up

By day 3 things were running so smoothly we got a little restless, but thankfully San Fransisco has plenty to do.

We bought shoes, clothes, jewelry and found the craziest furniture store ever that had creepy statues and couches that would make for awkward conversation.

We laughed the entire time and ended on a high. My favorite part seeing the disappointment in spectators as they realized we were not shooting a movie or TV. And that's a wrap.

Conversation of the Day

Location: Parking garage downtown Seattle

Overly glamorous, not smart looking woman to the parking attendant loud enough for everyone to hear:
"Do you charge parking by the minute or the hour?"

As I got into the elevator with 3 others that had just heard the same thing, we all looked at each other and started laughing hysterically. I know it's not nice to laugh at the expense of others, but come on.

SF Day 2

Spent the day at a photo shoot in the most amazing house. The cat loved the attention and of course I like to live up to my crazy cat lady status so we quickly became BFF's.

Following the shoot, we headed down to the Mission area for dinner at a sketchy and delicious hole in the wall followed by the most entertaining and life threatening cab ride ever. Just a few options from the menu:

SF Day 1

Landed in San Fransisco, changed and headed out for a 6 mile run with this great lady that inspired me to become a runner. Took the Muni to Golden Gate Park for a beautiful, windy and refreshing run.

Man we look so hot after a run.

DSW

I heart buying shoes, but getting them at a steel of a deal makes them even better.

I Heart Friends

We took a trip to Utah for the weekend and it could not have been more perfect.

Friday I spent the day with these crazy ladies. Man I miss our inappropriate lunch outings.

This gal let us sleep at her sweet new house while keeping us happy on Diet Coke, cupcakes, and laughing until we cried.

Had the chance to catch up with this sweet girl and tried to convince her to move to Seattle.

Celebrated love with these two Saturday night while enjoying the company of one of the nicest guys I think I've even know (next to my brothers/in-laws/father).

And had one last meet and greet with these crazy former co-workers before heading back to reality.

Thanks Utah. I heart you in small weekend doses.

Former Spath

We've had some great times together.

We do a LOT of this:

Can spend hours on the computer....sitting next to each other:

Know the importance of live music in life:

Pretend to be famous at Sundance:

And now you're moving onto a new chapter in life so I give you the bird.

Congrats Chelsea. You found a great one and I'm so excited for you.

Bad Rental Car

Remember how I have bad luck with rental cars. Well, it continues. It went a little something like this.

As I approach the kiosk to pick up my rental car, the agent approached me with, "We are out of compact cars, but are pleased to offer you a free upgrade. Right this way." She walked me over to a mini van...a soccer mom, backseat fold down mini van.

Equally embarrassing

She's Crafty

Remember how 2 Christmases ago my mother got me this great Amy Butler pattern and fabric. And remember how when I finally got around to working on it, it only took me about a day to finish.

The handles were almost the death of me, but I heart it. Flaws and all.

I'm Famous

Remember back in October when I went to Roloff Farms and they were filling while we where there. Well, they finally aired the episode and I totally made the final cut.

I think TLC is going to reach out to Steph and I for our own reality show because lets face it, we are pretty funny.

Too Late

I wish someone had told me sooner that it's moustache May. I would have canceled my appointment at the Wax Bar last week.

Ouch

My lower back/top of my bum have been really bothering me since I took up running. Saturday I went in for a massage and Jason spent the entire hour on just that one area. He said we could spend an entire afternoon on just my left side. I asked when his schedule was looking like.

I feel so much better, but on the other hand my butt is sore to the touch now. What's a girl to do.

Tulip Fetival 09

I love the mountains,
I love the rolling hills,
I love the flowers,
I love the tulips.
I love the fireside
When all the lights are low.
Boom dee a da, boom dee a da
Boom dee a da, boom dee a da

Thanks for going with me Camille. Let's do it again.

Brandi in Spokane

You know how I heart Brandi Carlile, well I heart Brandi Carlile with my friends and family even more.

We went (Mom, Dad, Ben, Sarah, Me, Stephanie)

She opened. (Katie Herzig)

As always, she rocked it. (Brandi Carlile)

And the Spokane symphony sounded amazing.

We heart concerts.

If you want the concert details, check out Steph's blog.

Dancing Machine

The sun was out so the second I got home for work, I headed back out the door for a great 6 mile run.

I was running along Magnolia Blvd when I noticed this old guy up ahead. He was very fit, wearing huge headphones and running at an extremely slow pace. As I was gaining on him he turned around and started "running" backwards. This was when I noticed he was more so walking and dancing and had some pretty sweet moved.

As I was about to pass him he busted out some crazy foot work so I ran along side him and joined in. We danced together for a minute or two, smiled at each other and I headed off.

I could not stop thinking how cute this sweet old man was and how fun it was to dance with him. We were complete stranger, never said a word to each other, both danced to our own song and yet I ran away feeling nothing but unconditional love for him.

Turns out Steph has seen him in action too.

Mr. Magnolia, I heart you. I hope we get to dance together again soon.
