Real Life Version of "The Office"
Today, something very similar to this happened at work:
A girl with the largest fake boobs you have ever seen was sitting on a "fitness orb" to "strengthen her back." I recommend taking out a few CC....I'm just saying. It took everything in me not to walk by with a pair of scissors and pop them....I mean it.

To Human Kindness
Tonight I went went to the Art's Festival and picked up a bunch of free $3 off admission coupons at the gas station on my way. I figured out that I had a few extra so in the parking lot I gave two of them to the guys parked next to me. These guys were clearing not going for the art, but to pick up on girls. They asked what I wanted for them and could not believe I did not want a thing. I was offered beer and money for them, but told them to just pass it on. As they turned to walk away they said "Shit girl....the world needs more people like you." More then anything, this made me feel sad that they were so impressed that I would give them free coupons.
After the festival, I went to the grocery store. As I was checking out, and checking out the cashier, an older guy with special needs was hanging out. I could tell the cashier new they guy and he started to tell me that Richard had just won a gold medal in the 100 meter dash with the Special Olympics. Richard started telling me all about it while the cashier chimed in and helped him brag. Richard then hit me up for a dollar so he could get a diet coke tomorrow. The cashier asked if he already drank all of his Gatorade from today, trying to give me an out, but what's a dollar to me. I told Richard I had a dollar if he could help me carry out my groceries. He loved this idea. As Richard and I started to leave, the cashier looked me in the eye and said "thanks....and it's his birthday tomorrow....make sure to ask him about it." The cashier was not only cute, but was also the type of person I want to be. He was very patient, carrying, and kept doing his job while entertaining Richard. If only he was not married.....dang it!
Today, I wish people remember that we are all hear together and to treat everyone with human kindness.

Concert Video
As promised....here are a few video clips from the concert. One of them starts out a little shaky, but once I figured out how to stand still it gets better. In the other one, I was trying to capture Em and her excitement, but it did not really work. The sound is a little fuzzy becuase we were so close!....enjoy.

Love Me Some Live Music
I got a ticket to the Indigo Girls concert last minute thanks to Em and her large network of friends and man was I glad I did. There is just something about live music that I love. I will never be able to truly express it, but being in a large group of people all singing the same great song is one of my most favorite things ever.
Brandi Carlilie opened the show and did a great job.....would have liked to hear more of her. She and the Indigo Girls sang quite a few songs together and it was amazing. I literally kept getting chills.
Aside from the amazingly great live music, watching Em enjoy the concert was great. She was more excited then a 6 year old at Christmas time. I decided that everyone needs to find that thing in life that is better then Christmas.
Here are a few pictures from the show. If you click on the pictures they will get bigger so you can see them better. I will also post some video I took so you too can experience the concert.

True Client Bonding
Tonight I had the ultimate client bonding moment. They called around 9:50 pm and I was going to the bathroom so I did what any good Account Supervisor would do.....an answered. I don't think they could hear the echo, but I am pretty sure he heard Steph yell down that hall asking if I was going to the bathroom while on the phone.
We are now one!

New Orleans
Wow....what a trip. My two flights down to New Orleans were a joke and I ended up getting into town about 5 hours late. I will not go into the details, but the final flight almost ended with me walking off the plane while we waited to take off. Worst flying experience ever.
Today I got to play happy client Lindsay all day. I met with both my clients but I think the highlight was when they both showed up to our booth and quickly realized that they were both my clients and both wanted my attention....good times.
Please pray that my traveling tomorrow will be better then it was on the way out. I don't want to have to push the hairy fat mans arm off my me again.

Grateful
Today started out with a big bad bang.
First, someone that I admire and consider a hero and have a huge amount of love and respect for tearfully told me his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and it has already spread to other parts of her body. He could not stop crying, but kept saying how greatful he was for God and good friends in his life.
Then, I found out another good friend was in the ICU. She has been delt a tough hand in life and this just adds to it.
Today, I am greatful for my health, the power of prayer, God, friends, and family.

True Colors
A few weeks ago, we were able to score $10 tickets to one of the most entertaining concerts in town. The True Colors Tour is to promote human rights and attracts quite the crowd.

By the time we got there Debbie Harry from Blondie was starting her set. Wow....she got old and surprisingly can't dance to the beat. I wish she would have sung a Blondie song because all we got from here was a bunch of "new" stuff no one had ever heard or really wanted to hear again.
Erasure was next and were great. They played a few great old school hits that everyone sang along to. And the person in the group next to us really started to get into it. She was "drill team" dancing like there was an entire dance team in her head. She was so into it that by the end of the night my group and about 3 other groups around us would cheer when she did some "big moves" but nothing phased her.

It was at this point that I had to use the restroom, but on my way back to my seats I saw two of them.....male parts that is. Ya, wow....I just kept walking and thought this was the best $10 ever. :)
Last, but not least was Cindy Lauper. She was a little whiny and I am sure high on something, but she did belt out a great version of girls just want to have fun.
They closed the night by singing a group version of Take A Chance On Me and True Colors.

Banner Ads
Due to my job, I have learned a lot about internet advertising from banner, search (paid and natural), portal, affiliate, CPC, CPM, etc. Every Friday I have to put together a weekly sales report for my boss and as such like to include a random story, thought, or quote. While looking for a quote this week, I noticed the following banner advertisement:

Yep, the Mormons are staying up to date with technology. I kept refreshing wanting to see more and was very impressed with their banner ads. They were clean and simple, with personalized copy. Here are a few more samples of the Q and A Mormon banners.

Maybe we should hit up the church as a potential client. I'll suggest it on next week’s sales report.
P.S. Quotes for the week:
“A true friend stabs you in the front.” – Oscar Wilde
“I feel sorry for people who don’t drink. When they wake up in the morning, that’s as good as they’re going to feel all day.” – Frank Sinatra

Check Up
Tomorrow I have my follow up eye appointment and it reminded me that I had not shared this lovely photo with all 10 of my readers. This was me the day of my surgery. Steph could not stop laughing at me and if you thought I had to wear these bad boys to bed every night for a week you would be right.
I am thinking they will make the perfect Christmas gift for Jake!

The Soda Spirit
As I walked up to the fountain machine at the Maverik a strange voice told me to get Diet Pepsi today instead of Diet Coke. I listened and I like it....whats happening?
